Welcome to Seattle, Washington

The bustling Pacific Northwest port known as the "The Emerald City" is both a culturally rich metropolis and a gateway to beautiful natural attractions. In the shadows of the widely recognized Space Needle, the Seattle Center is home to the city's sports arena and many museums, art and theaters. The lively Pike Place Market and the mammoth "Hammering Man" sculpture are downtown must-sees. Visitors also flock to the waterfront for fresh seafood, the Harbor Steps park or to board a ferry bound for Puget Sound. Seattle is served by both the Bell Street Pier Cruise Terminal and Terminal 30.

TESTIMONIALS

Hi Doug,
I lived in Seattle "The Emerald City" for awhile and I have to say this is one of the most beautiful areas in the world and my favorite to live!  There is something for everyone!  Although I have my special favorites, below are all places I have throughly enjoyed!  I wish I still lived there, so I could help with this reunion.  My heartstrings are already being pulled!  In any case, I do hope this information will help.
If time allows, I strongly encourage a longer stay in the area to experience the flavor of the Pacific Northwest.  Two weeks is still not enough time for me!  I must say that August is the best time to visit Seattle and the surrounding area.  Make sure your camera and binoculars are the first items in your suitcase!
For those visiting and planning a longer trip, a rental car is a must, if anyone plans to wander outside the city.  There is also a "Go Seattle Card" that may be purchased online to save on  many attractions.
Warning: Most people who have had the opportunity to visit Seattle and it's beauty, go home, pack and move back!

Kind Regards,
Patti (Gay) Hartzell
